The Story Behind the Work

A look at who I am, how I work, and what drives my creativity.

I believe design should make people feel seen, supported, and connected — and creativity is at its best when it serves a deeper purpose. My relationship with Jesus Christ shapes the way I lead, create, and show up in every space. It’s the anchor behind my desire to bring clarity, beauty, and intention to the people and missions I’m entrusted with.

My work spans nonprofit communications, state-level design at TDOT, and creative leadership within my church. I’ve learned that great design isn’t just about visuals — it’s about understanding people, noticing what others miss, and stepping forward when something needs to change. I’m naturally curious, always looking for what can be improved, simplified, or strengthened.

Outside of work, I love antique shops, movie nights, exploring new places, and helping young adults and middle-school boys grow in their faith. I grew up in Tennessee, live near historic downtown Lebanon, and technically was born in Alaska — just long enough to mention it in bios like this. I’m a foodie, a coffee-shop regular, and occasionally “out-of-pocket” in the way friends rely on: willing to say the thing that needs to be said, with kindness and timing.

At the heart of it all is a desire to serve well, think deeply, and create work that tells the truth of a story with compassion and excellence.
